Intermittent Fasting Stack

For Women

Hey!

Todayโ€™s newsletter is all about intermittent fasting for women.

Specifically women because most fasting stacks out there do not consider the 28 to 30 day hormonal cycle that womenโ€™s bodies go through. Fasting week by week, continuously, is not conducive to what female hormones need and does not put the body in an optimal state.

I fast intermittently quite regularly because it feels good to me, but I have been trying to find a better routine that works for my cycle, as Iโ€™m conscious my hormones need fats and nutrients to function. Enter Dr Mindy Pelz, whose expertise in fasting for women has brought us a beautiful fasting stack that we can finally use without worrying about over-fasting.

If you know anyone who might benefit from this fasting stack make sure to forward this email to them!

The Stack

Intermittent fasting (IF) is when you avoid eating foods between 14 and 18 hours, this is roughly the window that most consider the benefits of IF start applying. The higher end of this window, from about 17 hours onwards, is where autophagy kicks in.

Liquids like water, coffee and tea are generally included in a fast (depending on who you ask and what you add to those drinks). Ultimately it comes down to how your body responds to digesting these liquids, Dr Mindy suggests taking a blood glucose test to determine what makes or breaks your fast.

Time wise, the fast can be done at the time most suitable for you, for example, 8pm till 11am.

  1. On the first day of your period (day 1) start your intermittent fasting, every day, until day 18.

  2. A week before your period is due, stop fasting for an entire week.

  3. Start fasting again when you reach the first day of your period (day 1).
