Nootropic Stack II: Memory

Activating Your Hippocampus

Welcome to The Supplement: where you receive 1 health stack a week that’s minimum effort for maximum results.

Today is the second stack in our nootropic series, and we are honing in on memory.

Memory has historically held an interest for me, especially on how to improve it. When the Sherlock Holmes series, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, was released aeons ago, I became fascinated with memory techniques. I tried learning the memory palace technique, which Sherlock used. And even took a course from Jim Kwik, a brain coach who teaches learning techniques. Back at school, my studying method was very memory focused, where I would use repetition and visual mind maps, my room covered in them come exam season.

Anyway, I digress! As mentioned above, this stack contains the most effective supplementation shown to boost memory.

The Stack

  1. First on the list is bacopa monnieri, also known as a water hyssap, and is one of the most well-researched nootropics for memory enhancement. Studies have shown that it can improve memory recall, information retention, and cognitive performance, especially in older adults. It works by enhancing neuron communication and supporting synaptic plasticity.

  2. Next is lion's mane mushroom, which has been shown to promote nerve growth factor (NGF) production - this supports the growth and differentiation of neurons. Research indicates it can improve cognitive function and may have protective effects against neurodegenerative diseases, making it a strong candidate for memory improvement.

  3. Lastly is phosphatidylserine. The phospholipid (a type of fat molecule crucial for building cell membranes) is associated with improved cognitive functions, including memory. Studies have found that phosphatidylserine supplementation can enhance memory, especially in older adults with cognitive decline.

Dosage Tip
Spermidine: 3-6mg
